| Larry is a USPTA certified Teaching Professional. Originally from West Hartford, Connecticut, he played high school varsity tennis at Conard High where he was ranked #6 in CT. Larry, a competitive junior tournament player, attended the University of Connecticut where he played on the men’s team. He ran his home town recreation department in West Hartford. In 1993 Larry moved to Massachusetts to pursue a job in finance. In 2003, he changed careers from the financial industry to the tennis teaching field. Larry has taught at several tennis clubs, including the BSC at Lynnfield and the Winchester Swim and Tennis Club. Currently during the summers, he is the Head Pro at Meadowbrook Country Club in Reading. In 2002, Larry was ranked #1 in New England for both Men’s and Mixed Doubles in the USTA. In 2007, he was named USTA New England Captain of the Year for leading his 4.5 men’s team to Nationals in Tucson, AZ where the team finished 2nd. Larry comes to Bass River with his wealth of experience as the club’s Tennis Director. | |
Ed LeDuc was one of the first instructors to work at The Bass River Tennis Club. He started his teaching career here in 1974 and continues to provide excellent coaching for individuals as well as teams. Ed has been a certified U.S.P.T.A. Teaching Professional since 1975. He runs our Women’s A Upper team, both Working Women’s Upper teams, Women’s Upper A-1 team, and Men’s A1 team. In addition, Ed oversees all North Shore League play. Ed’s years of teaching experience and extensive knowledge of league play makes him a valued member of our teaching staff. We are fortunate to have Ed as a mainstay of our teaching staff.

Rares hails from Transylvania, Romania. An academic and athletic star, Rares was ranked as high as number 6 in Romania and graduated first in his class at Romania’s top University, Bades Bolyai in Transylvania. Certified to coach soccer, rugby, swimming, gymnastics and of course, tennis, Rares’ tremendous background makes him a valuable asset to the Bass River teaching staff. He is the Junior Program Coordinator and heads up Bass Rivers’ High Performance Program. Rares is currently ranked top 5 in New England in the Men’s Open division and continues to be a highly competitive player. Rares first came to Bass River in the fall of 2007. |

A Swampscott High School graduate, Haven was a four time Northeastern Conference tennis MVP. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Merrimack College. In November of 2003, she was featured in Sports Illustrated as a "Face in the Crowd". Haven was the Director of Tennis in the Town of Swampscott from 1998-2000 and the Town of Peabody from 2001-2003. From there she went on to Cedardale Health and Fitness Club in Haverhill. She was also the Merrimack College assistant men's and women's tennis coach during the 2005 season. Haven was at Wentworth by the Sea Country Club from 2005-06. We welcomed Haven to Bass River in June 2006. She is USPTA certified and is certified in Cardio Tennis. |

Born in England, Ros was a nationally ranked player throughout her junior career. Ros came to the States in 1988 to play for Division I Rice University in Houston, Texas. She was the Tennis Director at Windridge Tennis Camps in Vermont, the Assistant Tennis Coach at Amherst College and the Men's and Women's Tennis and Squash Coach at Bowdoin College. She has been teaching tennis on the North Shore for nearly 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to our staff. Ros lives here in Beverly with her husband David and two high school age children. |

A Winchester native, Kevin played first singles for his Winchester High and University of Rhode Island teams. He captained both of those teams in his senior seasons. Kevin ran the Winchester Swim and Tennis Club for four seasons and currently is the Head Pro at the Belleview Country Club, in Melrose. Kevin is a certified USPTA teaching professional and brings a wealth of teaching and coaching experience. He teaches all areas of men’s, woman’s and junior programming and heads up of our Junior Varsity Team program. Kevin joined our staff in September, 2007. |

Gregg grew up in Wakefield and Reading. His teaching experience dates back over 15 years, teaching all levels and ages. During his high school career, Gregg played 1st singles for both Wakefield and Reading High. He played division 1 tennis for the University of New Hampshire where he was the 1st singles and 1st doubles player during his junior and senior years. Gregg got his degree in Psychology and Criminology before moving to New York City to receive his Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology. Choosing a career in Tennis, Gregg is USTPA certified and currently heads the Reading Recreation Department Tennis Program. He is a great addition to our teaching staff. |

Anthony Russo is a certified USPTA tennis professional. He started in his home state of Rhode Island where he served as an assistant professional at Warwick Heights and Kirkbrae Country Club. His more recent teaching experience has been at Westford Racquet and Fitness and Manchester Athletic Club where he was the Assistant Director of Junior Programs. For 3 years, Anthony was Head Tennis Professional at Annisquam Yacht Club during the summer months. In the summer of 2007 Anthony was at Eastern Yacht club. As a junior player, Anthony was ranked #1 ranking in Rhode Island from the ages of 10-16. He went on to Mount St. Charles Academy and was first singles all four years. Anthony went to The University of Hartford on full tennis scholarship and was “all conference” in the American East and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. The Bass River Tennis Club welcomed Anthony to its’ teaching staff in the fall of 2006. |

Henry Tiberio has been certified as a USPTA professional since 1974. Henry has accumulated 21 New England #1 rankings in singles, 10 New England #1 rankings in doubles, and 5 national top 10 singles rankings in his age group. He is has been ranked as high as #7 in the world in his age division. Henry is USTA coordinator for the Bass River Senior and Super Senior In-House Leagues. He runs several programs including Men’s Round Robins, Singles Clinics and Senior Socials. He also does all the racquet stringing and grip work for Bass River. Henry is available to teach and is always eager to discuss the aspects of your overall tennis game. Bass River is pleased to have Henry and his many years of teaching experience. |

A lifelong Beverly resident, Devin teaches in the Beverly school system and is coach of the Beverly High School Boys Team. Devin has worked with us for 9 years. Devin is USPTA certified instructor and has a Masters Degree in education. |
