Bass River runs an innovative Quick Start Program for every age and skill level. Our season begins in September and runs through May. Sessions and can be pro-rated for late admittance. Participants may need to attend a brief evaluation for proper placement.
All children participating in the clinic or team programs are required to take a Junior Membership. The memberships are tailored to the age and skill level of our players.
Bass River Tennis is proud to field a North Shore Junior Travel Team. Boys and Girls interested in competitive singles and doubles are welcome to participate. Matches are on Saturday afternoon with a weekly practice.
All junior clinic players get extra court time built right into the program. Level 1 & 2 have Friday Fun Day and Level 3 & 4 have Sunday Match Play. These are all supervised by our staff and are a great way to build on our weekly instruction.
Our unique program is supervised by our Junior Program Coordinator, Mike Dolph. Each age category has a dedicated full-time staffer overseeing an age group. This comprehensive attention to detail insures your child will get the very best instruction that a group format can provide. In addition to the instructional clinic, participating in the program invites you to additional court time. For Level 1 & 2 clinics, you are invited to attend our weekly Friday Fun Day. Pros run more game-oriented play designed to reinforce the weekly curriculum. Levels 3 & 4 have Sunday Match Play options. See Mike Dolph or your child’s age coordinator for details.
A club membership is required to participate in any of our club youth programs. There are three membership types. First is our "Tots" membership for the age 3-4 classes. The rest of the memberships are determined by the clinic level. Our Level 1 & 2 clinics require a "QuickStart" membership. Levels 3 & 4 and our Travel Team require a "Full Junior" membership. Our Full Junior membership, sold only to our clinic or team players, comes with unlimited court time. Some limitations apply so speak with our staff for details.

The Bass River Tennis Club is proud to again offer a North Shore Junior Travel Team. Boys and Girls interested in competitive singles and doubles are welcome to participate. Both the boys and girls teams will carry 4 or 5 players in each category (12 & under, 14 & under 16 & under and 18 & under). Matches are played on Saturday afternoon and a weekly practice is held on Friday. We ask our players to be available as much as possible from mid-September through Mid-April (matches and practices are off during vacation and Holiday weeks). Any player knowing they cannot make a commitment to team should not take a spot away from a player who can. Membership is a requirement for participation in the North Shore League Travel Team Program regardless of age.
